I was born a poor black child…Okay, so maybe not. That’s from the Jerk. Lol. Growing up, I always wanted to be a writer but didn’t think I’d be able to string that many words together to create a book. Imagine my surprise when I did. Honestly, I shouldn’t have been too surprised considering how much I like to talk. 🙂 But I was surprised that I sat down long enough to finish such a lengthy project. I’m glad I did.
Shadow Born was an idea that I had bouncing around inside of my head for several years before I actually sat down to write the novel. It started with a simple question one night while I was watching a vampire movie. Why would vampires ever be afraid of a human? Vampires are stronger, faster and heal quickly. Short of catching a vampire in his or her coffin and using a wooden stake, or dragging one out into the light of day, why would a creature of the night ever fear a human? So I started thinking about it and came up with an idea. Then, I took that idea, built the characters up, gave them names and followed them around to document their story. It was exciting really! And Shadow Born became reality.
If you enjoyed Shadow Born, and I honestly hope that you did, then stick around for more. I’m currently working on book 2 and will be announcing the release date, title and releasing the book cover, hopefully soon, so stay tuned. If you haven’t yet had a chance to read Shadow Born, pick it up on Amazon for your Kindle or Kindle app. It’s only $3.99 on Kindle or if you prefer, it’s also available on Audible for $24.95, or $14.95 if you join. You usually get your first book free so, why not? And if you aren’t signed up for my Newsletter, you really should be. The people receiving my newsletter will be the first to get all upcoming information. I haven’t even told any of my friends or family the name of the book or anything about it. And if you have questions or comments, send them to me. I love hearing from you guys! I promise to try to keep the newsletters short and to the point. I also won’t be sending them out every other day, I have a book to finish after all. I will be sending updates and news, and there might even be a short story just for current and future subscribers. So stay tuned, lock your doors and don’t invite any strangers in…especially if they might be vampires. 😉
